Three Generations,
One Kadhai.

The recipes haven't changed. The hands that make them have grown older, steadier, more knowing. Pull up a chair.

Chapter 1

The First Kadhai

Rameshbhai Mehta set up a single gas burner in a Dadar chawl, stirring khoya through the night. Neighbours said the smell of cardamom and reduced milk could be traced three lanes away.

Priya Ships Nationwide

Priya, the granddaughter, convinced the family to pack sweets in vacuum-sealed tins. The first order was 200 boxes for a Bengaluru wedding. The second was 2,000 for a Hyderabad corporate Diwali.

"The recipe is in the hands. You can write it down, but you have to feel the khoya to know when it's ready."
— Rameshbhai Mehta, Founder
